Merit Awards Presentation - 13th March 2004

Dave Ewing, President of Cheshire RFU, Mike Lord, Cheshire’s RFU representative and Graham Marrs, Secretary of Cheshire County presented the Club Merit Awards to certain members of Vagabonds for their work for the Club.  These merit awards support the RFU ‘Value the Volunteers’ initiative.

President of Vagabonds, Des Collins, presenting Mike Caley with his Merit Award.  Mike is 2nd XV Captain and the 2nds were playing away on the day of the presentations, so Mike missed the main presentation!

Click here for pictures following the 1stXV league game against Wigan on 10th January 2004.  It was also Elaine Bell's leaving party.  Elaine is moving to England to 'pastures new'.  She laid on entertainment and a buffet and a good time was had by all !!  Referee Joe Phelan is also leaving the Island to go 'down under' for a few months.  Danny King is another who is leaving the Island to work in London.  It turned it to a real good 'do' !!
